These past few weeks have been pretty rough for me. I have lost good amount of weight yet when I see pictures of myself I keep seeing all the flaws, all the fat, all the things I don’t want to see. Instead of seeing the good, I see the bad.

The weird thing is that I looked at two pictures side by side, taken just days apart, and in one I feel like I am the biggest girl in the world and in the other one I feel cute and confident.

After looking at those pictures I started a confidence board on my pinterest and found this:

I was going to write a short list of 3 things that I like about my body but honestly I couldn’t do it. I really don’t like my body right now and it is showing. So, by next week I would like to be able to write 3 things that I like about my body. Not love, just like.That should be easy, right? :\ {anyone else want to do this with me?}

In college when I lived with a couple of my best friends, we used to tell each other to go look in the mirror and tell ourselves{out loud} that we were beautiful. So, go ahead, go look yourself in your gorgeous eyes and tell yourself “I am beautiful, I Am Beautiful, I AM BEAUTIFUL” The more we tell ourselves these things the more we believe it.

So everyone knows that salads typically have a base of lettuce and are spruced up with various vegetables. Not this salad. Tonight for dinner, I decided to change it up a bit. This time, the vegetables were the base AND the add-ons! My salad consisted of cucumbers, red onion, olives (my favorite), red and green peppers, and cherry tomatoes. I then dressed my salad with a homemade dressing that included oil&vinegar, dill, parsley, and ground black pepper. One thing is for sure, I will definitely be making this salad again as it was DELICIOUS! Super simple to make, not heat required, filling, and every bite was filled with healthy foods I liked. What is not great about it? Nothing! Definitely try it :)

Hey everyone! Long time no talk. So let me just catch you up on what’s been going on. I have been really good with my meal plans but to be honest this last week I have been getting bored with the food. I noticed that switching my nights around helped out a lot and makes me feel as if I am not eating the same things over and over. Things have also been busy, I have been interviewing for jobs and working out like crazy! I hope that one of them pans out so send good juju my way :) Lastly at the gym I have had a new accomplishment I can now run a 1/2 mile without stopping! I was pretty proud of myself :) Other than that things have been pretty normal. OH and another thing I have switched my breads over the whole grain gluten free!


I wanted to share a few recipes that I have made over the last week since the site has been down:

My family had a BBQ last Saturday and we made healthy 7 layer bean dip and gluten free rice tortilla chips

The bean dip consisted of:

1/4c of black beans (drained)

4 oz of plain greek yogurt

2 tsp of taco seasoning

1/4c of low fat shredded cheese

½ avocado mashed with garlic powder (no salt)

diced tomatoes

dice green onions

shredded lettuce

Also made these delish muffins that were only 95 calories has a dessert for myself instead of the other things that were there.

Triple Chocolate Chunk Muffins

Last but not least I made my own light frappy! I used the artic zero coffee ice cream (1/2 cup)

1 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder

1 packet of stevia and

1/2 cup of almond milk then blend it all together! It was so good!

A Lovely Lunchtime Meal :)

TBLT~ Turkey bacon, lettuce and tomato. As you guys can probably tell from previous posts, I always season my food with a little bit of salt and a lot of pepper! Literally the most delicious lunch ever!

I know, I know. You’ve all seen this type of picture before. That’s because this is my absolute favorite summertime snack. You can never go wrong with a slice tomato, salt and pepper! #classic

Hello !

The past days without being able to blog on Team Taralynn have been HARD. It sounds silly but it’s hard to stay on track without it! I think I’ve become bored of my food menu and the workouts so I might be adding stuff to my plans to change things up! Either way I need to change the way I’m thinking right now & get back on track with getting healthy! Here are a few of my meals I’ve been having the past few days…

Madison- Dude Mission Burrito is my new go to. For eating out, its pretty easy to make healthy and you have a general idea of exactly what their putting in your meal. They also have a mini burrito bowl that reduces the size of the portion, which is even better. I ordered lettuce on the bottom, a smudge of rice, corn, black beans, onions, and (my favorite) those chips to top it off! Delicious!  

Madison-My sister and i went to the new mediterannean place in town and shared a plate- which ended up being more than enough for the both of us. We ordered falafel’s, which are great and full of protein, hummus, and different salads with a side of rice. It was a good light dinner that wasn’t too heavy. Mediterannean- my new favorite cousine. Fo sure.
